Getting Started with Telegram Filters on iOS

If you're looking to organize your chats in Telegram more efficiently, setting up filters is a great way to go. Filters help you manage your chats by sorting them into lists based on specific criteria. Here's how to set them up on an iOS device.

Step 1: Access the Filters Menu

To start, open Telegram on your iPhone or iPad. Tap on the Chats tab at the bottom of the screen. Now, swipe from right to left on the chat list to open the filters menu. You'll see a few default filters like New Messages, Contacts, and Groups. If you want to customize these or add your own, just tap on the Filters option at the top of the menu.

Step 2: Customize Your Filters

In the filters menu, tap the + Add New Filter button at the top right corner. Give your filter a name, like Family or Work. Now comes the fun part: set the conditions for your filter. You can choose from various options like Chats with:, Mentions:, Media:, and Contain:. For instance, if you want to sort all chats with your family, you could type in the names of your family members under the Chats with: option.

Once you've set your conditions, tap Save to apply your new filter. You can always come back and edit it later if you need to make changes.

Step 3: Enjoy Your Organized Chats

After setting up your filters, you'll notice that the chats matching your criteria are now grouped together in the filters menu. This makes it much easier to find and manage your chats without having to scroll through the entire conversation list. If you want to view all your chats in one place again, just tap the All Chats tab in the filters menu.

Filters can be a lifesaver for those with a lot of chats, especially if you're using Telegram for both personal and professional purposes. It keeps everything in order and makes finding important messages a breeze.

Step 4: Tweak and Explore

Don't be afraid to experiment with different filters and settings. You might find that having a filter for specific types of media (like Photos or Video Messages) or filters for chats based on keywords (like Project or Meeting) can be really useful. It's all about making your experience on Telegram as personalized and efficient as possible.

Conclusion

By setting up filters in Telegram on your iOS device, you're not just organizing your chats; you're making your communication experience more enjoyable and efficient. Spend a bit of time configuring your filters, and you'll see how much easier managing your chats can be.
